Laura has an interdisciplinary practice as an artist, midwife, writer and creative producer. Her concerns centre on the lived experience and politics of representation of the female body, particularly around women’s health, birth and mothering.
Laura produces a number of projects - Maternal Journal: the award-winning creative journaling movement. Shifrah UK: which celebrates and informs on Jewish cultural birth practices, and provides information, education and training. Birth Cafe: that opens up space for conversations about birth.
